The Aberdeen (MD) Alumni Association was organized in September 1970. Formal Ceremonies were held at the Holiday Inn in Aberdeen, MD on April 4,1971. The Association was the first alumni association established in the Province and was composed of civilian and military brothers who resided in the communities near the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The charter members were -
Within four years, the membership had doubled and enabled the association to become a chapter. The charter for the chapter was presented by Province Polemarch James Overton on November 23, 1974. Attending the presentation of the charter were Past Grand Polemarch Ernest Davenport, Senior Province Vice Polemarch William Ross and Province General Counsel Winfred Mundle.
